With Spring already in full swing and Summer just around the corner it's time to reflect the sunshine mood throughout our home and particularly in our bedding. If you're like me and try to keep the floral design going all year round then you'll know how exciting a little bedding spruce up can be - and it doesn't even need to be tricky! BLUE is definitely the colour of the season right now, and Yorkshire Linen's blue duvet covers are extremely gorgeous.
Blues is the perfect colour choice to celebrate the upcoming Summer vibes. It's a very fresh and natural colour, which creates the perfect relaxing calming vibes - which I'm sure you'd agree is exactly what you want to achieve in your bedroom. One of my favourite things to do is shop for home decor, I absolutely LOVE it. Bedding is included in this bracket of course, and I'm constantly on the look out for my next bed outfit.
I find bedding can be very expensive, especially if you have a double+ size bed, but that doesn't make me want to give up, and I'm always on the look out for top quality bedding at a reasonable price. I've struggled in the past to find exactly what I'm looking for that isn't going to cost me £50 and over, so I thought I would write a little post to share some of my best shopping places for the all important blue bed covers. Over the years I've found a few top places to shop and you don't even need to break the bank! Here are my top tip places just for you...
Yorkshire Linen Company - Amazing value for money, and have a huge selection! Just like the bedding featured in my photos above, this floral design is beautiful and shows off the gorgeous blue colour to give a fresh light bedroom. It's my favourite! Definitely head over right now and have a browse, they have everything you could think of!
H&M - Always have gorgeous pillow cases. The key is in the detail and I love layering up on my cushions, it makes the bed veeery comfy.
George at Asda - Newly discovered place to find some pretty little homeware bits.
I hope I've given you all the blue inspiration you need - ready in time for the Summer season! What's your favourite Blue?
Until next time,
Love, H x

We're already in the month of March and spring is on it's way.. evenings are brighter, the sky is bluer and our summer loving is fast approaching. I don't know about you, but I am definitely in need of some sunshine and a fabulous summer. Plans are already starting to be discussed and we're getting ready for a 2016 to remember. What have you got planned? Are you going away anywhere nice?
Aside from the new bikinis, bum bags and gladiator sandals there's some other bits that you need to add to your spring list - interiors.
There's nothing like getting your home ready for the new season, packing away the winter snugs and replacing them with florals. I've turned my bedroom into a little spring paradise, and I wanted to share a few little tips to easily changing your scene in next to nothing time.
Fresh Flowers. This is the easiest way to completely freshen up your room giving it a much brighter feel. They smell wonderful, look beautiful and add a touch of bliss to any dull winter room. Just pop them into a nice vase and bobs your uncle. They are essential for me, you know how much I love my flowers!
Fresh Bed Sheets. Having a fresh look introducing the whites, greys, pinks and a splash of gold is a perfect start to transforming any room. Simply changing your bed covers can really make a huge difference to your whole room, and it's very quick and easy! Adding some decorative cushions to the mix will never go a miss, and will complete the look perfectly. Pretty floral pillows and white bedding - perfect spring look.
A Fresh Scented Candle. I love candles. You can burn them all year round with whatever smell you fancy. They look pretty, they smell pretty and they give the room that little extra touch. It's a gorgeous little decor to have on display, especially when the packaging is so gorgeous now a days! I picked up this little Neom candle, and it's part of the 'Relax' range. French lavender, geranium and juniper treatment candle - their most serious 'send you to sleep', deep warm and woody scent. Floral top notes of a rich french lavender are blended with sandalwood, juniper and geranium for utter relaxation. - Isn't that the most dreamy description you've ever read?! *heart eyes*
Fairy Lights. I have my fairy lights for all year round because I love them and my fairy light obsession is very real. They always look pretty and they're perfect for a relaxed cosy vibe, which is always nice to have in your bedroom. I picked these up quite a few years ago from ikea!
Little Touches Here & There. No room is complete without your own little touches here and there. It's what makes a room a home and is individual to everyone. Wicker baskets make great storage, and I love to use mine to store my cushions in when I take them off my bed at night. I keep a few of my extra blankets in there too and it's a pretty little addition to my room. I love it!
I hope you're going away feeling inspired to 'springify' your bedroom/home into a floral fairy light paradise. Little easy changes that can make you feel fresh and cosy.
Create your very own spring bedroom..
Until next time,

If you live in the UK you will know too well the horrific weather we've been having for months and months - will it ever end?! Last week we had a huuuge storm and I nearly got blown away when having to venture outside to run some errands - I literally had to stop and hold onto the rail because the wind was way too strong against little old me, and I found myself being pushed backwards.. (yes, that is the daily struggle of being a small person.) So I thought I'd share with you how I spend the days that I don't have to go outside, and I can hide inside trying to beat the weather blues. Your very own Winter Survival Kit.
Cups Of Tea! This is my first tip for any cosy, lazy day inside. It is a must. I can't express how much I love a cup of tea, and I instantly feel so much better when a cup of tea is in my hand. It is definitely a must have when trying to survive the winter months - warming, comforting and tasty. What more could you want from a drink?! The. Best.
Blankets, Blankets Blankets! Another Very Important Winter Essential. Without my blanket I don't think I'd be able to survive. If you're like me and are a total blanket fanatic you'll totally understand where I'm coming from. This gorgeous one is from T K Maxx, they always have the best stuff! There's no better feeling than snuggling up with your favourite soft blanket ready to face the cold with a good book or film - or better still, catching up on all your favourite blogs!
A Fabulous Tin Of Biscuits! A cup of tea isn't complete without a biscuit to dunk - and of course it makes the experience a lot better when you have a gorgeous tin - my one is from Tesco's.
I'm sure you're now feeling ready to tackle winter head on, please don't trip running to the kettle to start your perfect day inside! Please send me your cosy day pics either via twitter @hayleyvogel_ or tag me on instagram @haylvogel - I can't wait to get through winter with you all.
Create your own perfect cosy day..
(p.s. I know this has posted on a Monday but there was a little technical error when it was scheduled to post yesterday! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day - I'll be sharing what I got up too with you all this week.)
Until next time,
Love, H xx
