Travel Diary: I've fallen in love with the city of Bath.

10 November 2014

I had the pleasure last week, of having a few days away staying in the beautiful city of Bath. This was a surprise trip, one which I was very excited about! I've visited Bath once before a while ago so was very keen to stay again and visit the city's attractions. And I think it's safe to say,

... I've fallen in love with Bath.

For those who have been, you'll know how beautiful it really is! If you haven't yet been, I recommend everyone go at least once! The architecture is simply beautiful.

I just thought I'd do a little travel diary for you and share some snaps from my travels...

A room with a view for sure!

On day two we woke up and waltzed down to breakfast, I don't know about you but hotel breakfast's are always the BEST! I had the most delicious pancakes washed down with a fresh English cup of tea, mmmmm! *drools over pancake pic*

Afterwards we took a stroll out into the beautiful sunshine and went to see all the sites. We were also in hope that we'd find somewhere fantastic to have afternoon tea...
This is where we ended up, in the beautiful Pump Room. The chandelier inside was amaaazing!

We hopped onto the city tour bus, which took us around the city explaining the main attractions - this was so interesting! I loved hearing the history behind different spots around Bath.
We got off at the Jane Austen center where they've dedicated a building for people to visit in order to gain knowledge of her life and work. It's definitely somewhere I would recommend visiting. The staff were all dressed as a character from one of her novels and were so passionate about her work and life. Austen actually lived in Bath for a short period of her life and it is believed to have inspired her in her writing.
It definitely gave me inspiration to read her novels and see for myself how beautiful her writing is.

And of course, I can't go anywhere without shopping?!?! Bath is a m a z i n g for shopping! There's just so much to explore. I spent all my funds on some really cute things (let me know if you're interested in seeing what I got). I'm definitely going to take my boyfriend back there for another day of exploring, shopping and afternoon tea'ing.

I had such an amazing time, there is always something going on and something to do. It's a very beautiful, mesmerizing and happening place, and I'm very jealous of the people who live there and get to explore it everyday! In. Love.

Speak soon, H x
