#LushSpring Event

I was thrilled to receive my #LushSpring 2016 invite to preview the newness that Lush Cosmetics bring to stores every year to welcome the new Spring season. I'd been once before last year and I couldn't wait to see what this year was going to bring. Having turned into a Lush fanatic only recently it was going to be a great chance for me to explore the different product areas, and was particularly interested in learning about their makeup range - yes, that's right. Lush do makeup!

I was really excited to meet all the fabulous local bloggers as we all interact so much on twitter and instagram - putting a face to the name was going to be great! I was lucky enough to get myself into a group of 4 other lovely ladies and we spent the evening laughing the night away. The lovely Lowri was our Lush host for the evening and took us around the store demonstrating and telling us all about the Lush newness.

To name a few...

How gorgeous does Humpty Dumpty look?! He is going to be a huge winner making an appearance in the nations baths this spring. In my little Lush goody bag I had the Rose Bombshell, Fluffy Egg and Somewhere over the Rainbow - I've already used my rose bombshell and it was lovely! Inside is little rose petals which float around you - feeling smooth and smelling of rose is what I like in a bath bomb. Definitely give that one a try! A lot of the new scents this year are very fresh and natural which I much prefer. The fluffy egg has a very strong sweet smell to it, which makes you want to eat it rather than bathe in it.. but if you prefer the sweet scents this one is definitely for you. And a little warning about the golden egg - it is glitter OVERLOAD.

After we'd seen all of the new products we had the chance to try out some of the other products Lush has to offer. Lowri was very helpful and knew exactly what we wanted to explore. We were all very intrigued by the makeup. Most of us had never heard/used the makeup before and we were itching to find out more. The colour supplements blew our mind. Lush, foundation, what?
It doesn't have the best coverage so you wouldn't treat it as if it were a foundation but it evens out the skintone and leaves your face looking fresh. You mix it with your moisturiser and apply all over the skin and voila you have a Lush base. I'm definitely going to try this out myself as this would be perfect for days I don't want to wear a full face of makeup but also don't want to look completely bare - please let me know if you'd like to see a review of this and read how I got on with this?
The lip colours were also incredible. They can all actually be used anywhere and they aren't strictly just for your lips. Great right?! You can use them as eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick and even a blush if you were using the pinky tones. A few of the girls swatched some of the colours and they were gorgeous! Definitely another one to add to my basket.

Last we have the face masks and face treatments. As you know my absolute favourite mask is the Catastrophic Cosmetic. We explored some of the different masks and scrubs - I'll be doing a separate post about this because I'm definitely going to be getting myself some more Lush products, I can see myself becoming an addict.

Let me know which products you recommend, and if you've tried any of the new collection. As always,
Until next time,
Love, H x

    1. Aw it was a really nice evening and I loved meeting everyone! It's definitely worth tweeting or getting in touch with your local lush store and just saying you'd like to be put onto the event mailing list, I know there was a load of bloggers who tweeted to ask if they could come and lush were more than happy to let everyone come! x
