I seem to have become quite obsessed with the colder season and I find myself constantly putting outfits together in my head. I've been so excited searching Asos for the latest trends and piecing together my outfits for every occasion - and I'm going to be honest, I've found some GORGEOUS pieces. I'm going to take haylvogel into a new direction, adding a section of fashion posts to the mix. I can't wait to show you whats arrived in my wardrobe lately and I really hope it helps with giving you some inspiration for your very own winter styled outfits.
Don't get me wrong, I am no Gok Wan, and you don't normally find me front row at fashion week but I find style is something individual to us all and I love scrolling through my instagram finding new fashion tips - so I thought, I'd share mine with you.
You really can't go wrong with a cosy chunky knit. It's a staple in the wardrobe and it's an item you can bring out year after year. I've had mine ever since I saw Mrs Claus wearing it on the Marks & Spencers christmas advert last year and I haven't taken it off. It's so easy to style and there are so many different ways to wear it. Some of this years trends introduce some amazing colours to the chunky knits, I've seen loads of Red, Pink's and Mustard Yellows and they all look fabulous!
My favourite go to look has been knee high boots, a little dress and my chunky knit on top with some simple accessories - such an easy look to create but looks so well put together! Add a fedora and you are ready for business..
I had such a great time shooting this look, despite the wind sweeping my dress up every now and again! It's such a comfortable outfit especially with the knee high's - and another plus side is my legs don't get cold so there's no need to wear tights! Win Win.
One of my FAVOURITE autumnal looks is always based around the house. There is nothing better than coming home after a long day at work, when it's freezing outside, coming home and having a cosy chunky knit and slippers to put on. I'm most definitely guilty of lining up my slippers by the door ready and waiting for me - they are my number 1 shoe and my feet are in love.
It's interesting that whenever we think about doing a fashion based feature we always base our outfits on the outside, so it got me thinking - does anyone else plan & buy clothes based purely on just wearing around the house? Because I most certainly do!
My second style look is a home sweet home inspiration. I wear my chunky knit with some cute pyjama shorts and some comfy knee high socks - and it's SO cosy. Catching up on my favourite blogs, flicking through the latest Vogue or watching an episode of Gossip Girl this outfit is perfect. As the nights get darker and darker cosy evening outfits are going to be a must have - not to mention a cute way to jazz up your pyjamas.
